We strongly believe in using only the very best genetics input on any of our females. That's why our cria are of such exceptional quality. We have until recently been buying in stud services, but some of our homebred offspring have done so well in the shows, that we are now using our own studs, as well as purchasing additional stud services as we need them.

BANJO

Banjo is our herd leader, and a dominant fancy suri. He doesn't walk around the field, he swaggers, looking every inch the star that he is. He is producing fancy offspring, so his multi-colour genes are holding true. If you have suri females in your field, and you want to add a spark of magic, then Banjo is the animal you should really be considering. 1st prize Fancy Suri Intermediate Male at the Devon County Show.

Sunnydale Giles

Giles is the highest placed Cornish born, light coloured (white or fawn) huacaya male ever at the Devon County Show. There he took a second and a third prize, and even then, was pulled forward by judge Nick Harrington-Smith and described as having the brightest fleece at the show.

His dam is Devon Fudge, who took 1st Prize at the 2003 BAS Fleece Show. Fudge is here at Sunnydale Alpacas and still carries an exceptionally dense fine fleece. Giles's sire is Benleigh Talisman, son of Purrumbete Briganteen, son of Purrumbete Highlander. Impressive Genetics, Right!!

Last Fleece analysis MFD = 18.2um, SD = 4.5um, CV = 24.70%, CF = 97.80%

Last shearing produced an impressive 2.5Kg blanket and a total clip of 4Kg including neck and legs

Sunnydale Valentine

Valentine was born here on Valentines Day, 2008, so an easy choice for names. His sire is Benjiro of Alpaca Stud, the famous import from the Snowmass lines in America. His mother is Carbine, and his full brother is Sunnydale Angelus, herd sire at Bowden Alpacas. Valentine has a dense, soft handling black fleece and we are using him on our darker coloured females from spring 2010. He won second prize as Intermediate Black Male at the Devon County Show in 2009.

Last Fleece analysis MFD = 17.7um, SD = 4.90um, cv = 27.4% CF = 97.62%
